Swifty’s Honors the 65th Park Avenue Tree Lighting Sponsored by The Fund for Park Avenue Restaurant Proceeds Donated on Day on Tree Lighting

Swifty’s, the popular East Side restaurant and our most favorite anywhere at Whom You Know, known for palate-pleasing, home cooking with international accents, and of course the new iconic drink The Peachy Deegan made with Star Vodka, will celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Park Avenue Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 5th. Co-owners Mover and Shaker Stephen Attoe, chef, and Mover and Shaker Robert Caravaggi, host, will donate a portion of proceeds on Sunday (12/5) to The Fund For Park Avenue’s Tree Lighting Committee.

For the last 20 years, the tradition has been carried forward by The Fund For Park Avenue, a non-profit organization that tends to the Park Avenue Malls with plantings year round, including the popular tulips every spring.  The FFPA relies on contributions from the community to ensure that this 2½ mile long memorial continues to be lit each year on the first Sunday in December.

The annual tree lighting ceremony will start at 6:30 at Brick Church, 91st and Park Avenue.  It was started by Mrs. Stephen C. Clark in 1945. Today, the trees serve both as a reminder of the original meaning of the lights honoring heroes who have lost their lives defending our country and as a celebration of the Holiday Season.

This year, Swifty’s celebrates its 11th Anniversary.  With the contributions to FFPA, the friendly, clubby restaurant continues its tradition of giving back to the City, one they started seven years ago with the annual Fete de Swifty, which benefits the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.

Whom You Know Highly Recommends Swifty's to the highest degree possible.
