Terrific Takeout: Arturo's

Now that it has gotten chilly, Peachy rang up her friend Joe at Arturo's because she remembers him saying his pizza was excellent at that review, and we thought it would be a perfect candidate for our new takeout column! Well we are pleased to report that Joe is correct, his pizza IS excellent!

This is a traditional neighborhood pizza that they make exactly as you would want it.

Peachy asked for peppers, onions and pepperoni and it was perfect.

The only thing not perfect was the performance of the New York Jets on Monday night, which is when she ate it. Despite the lack of competition in football, we thoroughly enjoyed the pizza!

The pizza and salad were so fresh and the service was speedy-only fifteen minutes from our call to the food being ready. And Javier was so friendly.

A salad is an ideal companion to a great pizza, and this one was just right. Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and onion with a light vinaigrette dressing, this green salad added some nice to our diet with the naughty pizza in this season of naughty and nice....Whom You Know recommends Arturo's for takeout!

They've been open since 1987 for many great reasons and you can see why! Now taste why.
