Bistro Le Steak offers some of the most succulent dinners for carinvores of the Upper East side. Known for the terrific mustard side sauce, the steakhouse with a Parisian twist has been on 75th and 3rd for over a decade, and previously was in midtown. Of course, since it IS called Le Steak, Peachy Deegan just had to have steak and she decided on the juicy filet mignon which was presented at a perfect medium, as requested.
She can vouch for the popularity of the mustard sauce and found it mildly spicy and delightful. The au poivre sauce was just as good, if not better and all she can say is "Oooh la la j'aime Le Steak - Filet Mignon!" Served with french fries on the side, the steak is one you all need to try. If you are more angelic than Peachy, other potato options are the mashed potatoes and the nonfat mashed potatoes. To balance out the french fries, Peachy selected the delightfully colorful and nutritious North Fork Organic Green salad which was sprinkled generously with shredded carrots, fun cherry tomatoes, mesclun and exciting red peppers which contrasted nicely with the greens.
Dressed in a deliciously sweet shallot vinaigrette, it was a winner. The final touch was an apple strudel which was out of this world. Le Steak is Terrific Takeout!
