URBAN ART AT BONHAMS FEATURING BANKSY, EINE, SHEPARD FAIREY, FUTURA 2000 AND DNTT
Top lots include a number of Banksy works such as his original art work for the GreenpeaceSave or Delete campaign poster (estimate £60,000 – 80,000); a performance piece created by American graffiti artist, Futura 2000, for The Clash’s Combat Rock tour (estimate £15,000 – 20,000); and a giant steel suspending sculpture modelled as a Shark by British artist DNTT (estimate £8,000 – 12,000).
Also available to photograph will be Circus A-Z by British street artist Eine (estimate £2,000 – 3,000). Eine recently made the headlines when David Cameron gifted a piece of his work to Barack Obama on his first official visit to Washington. Eine is said to be one of the Prime Minister’s wife Samantha’s favourite artists.
A pencil screen print of the iconic Barack Obama Change poster by American contemporary artist and graphic designer, Shepard Fairey, in support of Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, will also be on show.
