We Kick Off Our First Letters to The Peachy with a Question by Andy, from Moodus, Connecticut! Answered by Mover and Shaker Charles Ferri!
Andy from Moodus, Connecticut writes in:
"Dear Peachy,
I was wondering what makes something Vodka. What process or ingredients are required to make something into Vodka?
Thanks,
Andy"
So, Peachy Deegan consulted expert Mover and Shaker Charles Ferri, Founder and CEO of Star Vodka. Charles answers for Peachy:
"Great question! Vodka needs to be a certain alcohol content to be considered 'vodka' and produced with water and usually fermented grain or potato which becomes ethanol. What's good for you is also good for your car!! It varies depending on which country or region you are in. The standard is typically 40% alcohol (80 proof) and can go as high as 60-70% alcohol."
