Redken's Saturday Runway Report from Milan: BOTTEGA VENETTA, JIL SANDER & ROBERTO CAVALLI with hair by Guido
At Saturday’s BOTTEGA VENETTA show in Milan, Redken Creative Consultant Guido was inspired by rich, 60s glamour and created two looks to compliment the collection: a textured 60s ponytail and a 60s teased, high volume textured French twist.

- guts 10 volume spray foam
- forceful 23 super strength finishing spray
Create the Textured Ponytail
- Prep wet hair with guts 10 volume spray foam and blow dry in to create very airy, dry texture. Continue to layer the mousse in until hair is completely dry and looks almost slightly frizzy
- Heavily back brunch entire head focusing at the crown for extra height -create a messy side part and sweep front portion over to create a 'bang'
- Gather hair at neck and secure into a low ponytail, making sure hair covers the ears
- Lightly spray hairspray, forceful 23 all over for dry hold. Make sure not to saturate as will weigh style down
- Take a piece of hair and wrap it around the ponytail to cover the elastic and pin
- Spray a forceful 23 on your hands and run lightly over the style to smooth any fly aways

JIL SANDER
At Jil Sander’s show in Milan, Guido was inspired by classis 60s culture and created a hairstyle from a wig wrap. "The style is very simple from the front but deceiving as its quite intricate from the back. The clothes almost look futuristic so 60s era hair is a great compliment – the 60s was a very feminine and liberating time and had great shapes."
Redken Products
- hardwear 16 super strong sculpting gel
- forceful 23 super strength finishing spray
Create the Look
- Divide top of hair into 3 sections. Take the two side sections and braid 1/3 down and tie off. Criss cross braids and wrap them around themselves in a clockwise pattern securing with pins into a chignon-like base.
- Take sections and apply heavy amounts of hardwear 16 gel for hold and shine and begin wrapping around entire head, keeping the swirls in place with forceful 23 hairspray.
- Keep swirling towards the center of the head until you reach the end of the hair and have covered the base knot completely.
- Finish with heavy amounts of forceful 23 to hold the style.
ROBERTO CAVALLI
For Roberto Cavalli’s Fall/Winter Collection, Guido created a damp, separated long style with center part, noting “Sexy hair that's still sophisticated and feels easy but still has that classic Cavalli attitude.”
