Tasty Tidbits: Trattoria Dell’Arte, but Rita Cosby's Favorite Place, to Peachy!

It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know, and we know Rita Cosby.
She is fabulous.
We loved her book:
So Rita became a Mover and Shaker:
Rita is killing it in the current Mover and Shaker television personality poll.
Most days admittedly Peachy is working away hiding behind the computer.
However, today as you see not much was done as she was in some confidential meetings!
Oooh wouldn't you like to know!
So we found ourselves with an hour and a half of free time in midtown and we strolled by Trattoria Dell'Arte, and Peachy remembered it's Rita's favorite as she walked by so we had to find out more.
Above you see the masterpiece of Guitar Pasta with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Shrimp with square spaghetti, which means when it is cut on the diagonal it is square, not round.
It was lovely!
Peachy also tried a fabulous green salad which could not have been fresher.
Brandon Fay was a total peach and it is no wonder why he has been managing the place for ten years he looks like he really loves it.  Benjamin was delightful from the moment we walked in the door and he did not know Peachy was a critic-this was a total pop quiz for Trattoria Dell'Arte.
We love the peachy walls there!
Above are the fried artichokes alla Giudea!
They are a hit there.
We hope to feature Rita's place in a formal review in the future.
We probably won't even call it by its proper name all the time because we LOVE Rita!!!
And we wish she could have come today, but next time!

Across from Carnegie Hall, Trattoria Dell’Arte features the largest antipasto bar in New York, a sprawling selection of seafood and vegetable specialties perfect for parties of all sizes. Designed after a Tuscan artist’s studio, the rooms include half-finished paintings, oversized sculptures of fragmented body parts, a gallery of Italian noses, a wine cellar dining room, and a candle-filled private room.
The menu focuses on northern Italian specialties such as the steak Florentine, double veal chop, seafood specialties of the Mediterranean, and unforgettable dessert
