Terrific Takeout: Divino

Divino Ristorante is a charming Italian place on Second Avenue between 81 & 81 that has a warm atmosphere and solid food. Mario, the owner, was lovely to chat with when we arrived to pick up takeout.

Peachy began with the mixed Italian salad of tomato, endive, romaine and arugula and it was crispy and fresh.

If you read Whom You Know closely, you'll know Peachy has been an addict of chicken parmesean since her Boston College days, and the chicken parm at Divino is fantastic. It is just what you'd want chicken parm to be and is typical of the regular Italian fare.

The winner of the night were the fresh strawberries with zabaglione! This is totally a new word for Peachy to add to her Italian category and it is right up there with Amo Le Scarpe Italiane now. We were getting pretty tired of Tiramisu as you have been reading and this was a big hit.
