Valentine's Day: The Perfect Time to Shop for Your Heart, Feb. 11th and 12th

Pop-up Benefiting American Heart Association Extended!
 
 Designers, jewelers, retailers, florists and more contribute to charity shop operating
 Friday, February 11th and Saturday, February 12th, 10 A.M. to 8 P.M.

Additional retailers, designers, jewelers, florists and pastry chefs have joined an A-list of contributors to the Heart Boutique, necessitating an extra day of operation for the pop-up shop whose proceeds will go to the American Heart Association. Organized by "Queen of Retail" Faith Hope ConsoloChairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group, the fundraising shop-athon is being held at 10 West 56th Street on Friday, February 11th, as originally planned, through Saturday, February 12th, and each day from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M..
 
     The storied mansion in which it is being staged – once the home of Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Todd – will feature five levels of shopping, food and activities to entertain the entire family, with tax-deductible proceeds helping to fight heart disease and stroke.
 
     "The Heart Boutique is going to be a multidimensional extravaganza, where shoppers can find the perfect gifts, take perfect photos of their children, and have a sweet treat – while helping to support the great work of the American Heart Association," says Ms. Consolo, who is also the 2011 Co-Chair of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Luncheon. "Every day brings another generous contribution and for that, all these wonderful contributors have my  pun intended  heartfelt thanks."

     Also planned for the two-day shopping wonderland is a children's section on the fourth floor featuring a large red velvet heart set up to serve as a backdrop for holiday photos; the Big Heart Café, with delicious contributions from renowned pastry chefs; mini-readings from America's Best Psychics; and custom-designed tee-shirts prepared on-site by students from Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute.
