IMAGES OF CELEBRITIES - MARILYN MONROE, KATE MOSS, COURTNEY LOVE AND THE QUEEN - TO SELL AT BONHAMS

A selection of celebrity images, featuring Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss, Courtney Love, Jennifer Aniston, Pelé and the Queen, are to be sold at Bonhams, Knightsbridge as part of its Vision 21 sale on 16 March 2011.
 
The pictures include four intimate shots of Marilyn Monroe - In the GardenOn the BeachAt the Window and On the Sofa – taken by acclaimed 20th century photographer, George Barris, in 1962 (each estimated at £400 – 600); two images of the Queen - Andy Warhol’s Queen Elizabeth II from his Reigning Queens series (estimate £20,000 – 30,000) and Chris Levine’sLightness of Being, 2008 (estimate £2,000 – 3,000); and a photograph of Kate Moss by Mario Testino, Kate in Blue Cafe, 2005 (estimate £500 – 800).
 
Other lots include Dawn Mellor’s Jennifer, 2000, which depicts a double-headed Jennifer Aniston (estimate £3,000 – 5,000); a picture of Courtney Love by Stella Vine, entitled Courtney Blue Dress, 2006 (estimate £4,000 – 6,000); and an image of Pelé by Marc Quinn, which is signed by the celebrated Brazilian footballer.
