Senario, a leader in innovative products and brands for consumer electronics, entertainment and publishing, is announcing its latest product, Zibits miniature collectible robots that come to life with remote control (R/C). Consumers can initially collect 12 Zibits in multiple unique, fun designs that will appeal to every child, tech lover and toy collector the world over.
“There is a rapidly growing trend in small and unique ‘robotic’-type toys right now, and we’ve developed Zibits as an affordable yet entertaining option for kids young and old at less than $10 per Zibits,” says Mike Nakamura, founder and CEO of Senario. “According to Allied Business Intelligence (ABI) Research, the personal robotics market has officially arrived with ‘bots quickly carving a place for themselves in consumer’s homes. Whereas most of the popular robots for sale today cost hundreds of dollars, consumers can start their own Zibits collections at a fraction of that cost.”
At a size of just more than two inches, Zibits are brought to life with the touch of button that moves the robots several directions, including a full 360 degree rotation. They also come fully equipped with incredible robotic sounds and lights giving them each their own character.
“We had an overwhelming global interest in Zibits during a sneak peak we gave at the Hong Kong Toys and Game Fair in January, and we anticipate them being a huge hit with robot enthusiasts of all ages in the United States,” says Nakamura. “Zibits gives the consumer more than just entertainment; it gives them control within their own miniature playground.”
Zibits will hit Toys "R" Us store shelves in mid-March 2010 and consumers can expect to purchase the collectibles for less than $10. Toys “R” Us is the leading kids store for toys, video games, dolls, action figures, learning toys, building toys, baby and toddler toys and more. Look for new Zibits styles and designs to come out in fall 2010, as well as accessory packs for creating and building the ultimate, miniature robotic playground. Zibits will also be launched in the United Kingdom in late summer 2010.

When my son first saw Dex, his face lit up! "A robot, Mom! And it's little like me!", exclaimed my son. I have to admit, Dex is pretty cute (for a robot anyway). Zibits mini r/c robots are so much fun! They are small, they have a remote control (which kids think is so cool) and there are 12 different Zibits to choose from! Dex can move forward and turn 360 degrees when used with the remote. His eyes light up green and he makes awesome robot sounds! We all agree that Dex is one cool robot...now if I could only figure out who enjoys Dex more...my son or my husband...!
The Zibits robots have been a hilarious hit with our family. This cute little bot is fast little remote controlled toy that zooms around fantastically on our hardwood floors. Right out of the box, ours was a winner. First of all, the company provides the little round batteries (that I can never find) needed for the robot. So all you need is a couple AAA's for the remote, and you're ready to roll. My kids' favorite part is the funky sounds emitted whenever the remote is pushed. To me, it sounds like a blend of digital voice and hard core rock. But the kids just think he sounds like Wall-E. Super cute and destined to be a birthday gift favorite this year!
What aunt doesn't want to be the "cool" aunt? I do too! To get or maintain this status you need to arm yourself with a unique, yet fun toy when you see your nieces and nephews. This can get expensive. Alas, I have found a fantastic option - Zibits! My 7 year old nephew and 5 year old niece love them. With multiple robot characters to choose from I started with one for each of them (the price is so fab)! Prepare yourself for fun watching the kids go crazy with the easy to use remote as they spin their Zibits around. Great find and great fun!
As technology gets better, I find so do the toys that are coming out. Now everyone can have personal robotics at affordable prices. Fairly new on the street are Zibits by Senario. These tiny collectible robots are super cool because you control their every move with a small remote control. It gets addicting making them move and spin and I just love the lights and sounds they make as well. Apparently there are playgrounds you can purchase to take your robot to even greater level increasing the fun even more. I have to say that my husband broke into the package as soon as it arrived and was playing with it for quite a while. Glad I do not have a son or I might have to teach my husband how to share his Zibits.
