Consolo & Aquino Add to La Dolce Vita in Soho:
Italian Fashion Designer Piero Guidi Debuts at 430 West Broadway

 Soho sales and leasing specialists Faith Hope Consolo, Chairman, and Joseph Aquino, Executive Vice President of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Grouphave arranged a spectacular space for yet another European fashion icon, this time Italian createur Piero Guidi at 430 West Broadway, a 3,600-square-foot, double-height space with all-glass frontage, between Prince and Spring Streets. Considered one of Italy's most prestigious labels on a par with Gucci, Armani and Versace, the Urbino-based brand will be situated on one of Soho's most glamorous blocks, a veritable enclave for Italian design and home to Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana,Emporio Armani, Avitto and Braccialini. Piero Guidi will also share the streetscape with the likes of DKNY, Diesel Kids, Robert Marc, Elie Tahari, and Max Azria. Additionally located along the posh corridor are Ralph Lauren, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, 7 For All Mankind andAnthropologie. And in the midst of all the boldface retail names are such celebrity destinations asCipriani Downtown and Soho Grand Hotel.
 
     "This block is the epitome of the beautiful life, where downtown cool meets Italian chic, punctuated by exciting accents of Spanish, French, British and American design," says Ms. Consolo. "I adore introducing exclusive European brands to American shoppers and nowhere can you find more receptive audiences than in Soho. Piero Guidi is found in over 800 luxury stores worldwide, but this is its first retail unit in America."
           
     Adds Mr. Aquino, "There are two blocks along West Broadway that have become centers of high design and we've arranged many of those leases. Now we've added Piero Guidi, which in Europe is a celebrity label worn by Italian idols like director Michelangelo Antonioni and international rock stars such as Madonna and Sting. We are delighted to be a part of its New York 'premiere.'"
           
     Ms. Consolo and Mr. Aquino represented both landlord and tenant for this long-term lease. The former tenant was Spanish footwear designer Jaime Mascaro.
