The City That Doesn't Sleep: Whom You Know Highly Recommends UVA, Another Luigi Lusardi Creation!

You remember our friend Luigi Lusardi:
His talent does not end at Lusardi's!
Whom You Know's The City That Doesn't Sleep Panel thinks that UVA is the wine bar to beat.
Luigi has extended his talents along the corridor of second avenue to UVA, a simply delightful wine bar.  It is more difficult than you would expect to find a classy joint, even on the upper east side.  Manhattan becomes infiltrated by the non-Swifty's gentry and the extent at times drives many locals out of town.
But where do the locals go?
UVA, of course.
To see and meet each other...
Peachy Deegan sipped on some still rose, then some sparkling and it was a party both ways, especially with Luigi.  Luigi is going to head to Sistina and extend the party and try The Peachy with Giuseppe he tells us.  Our panelist adds:

A Saturday night stroll up along the Upper East Side’s Second Avenue displays numerous bars that appear lively, but many would fall under the category of “dive bars” and are often quite crowded and loud.

Peachy and I were hoping to find a classier establishment to catch up over drinks where we could sit at the bar and be able to hear our conversation:  Uva, a wine bar was just what we were looking for.  I have been to Uva for dinner before and remembered being impressed by the food, but now we learned that it is great spot to come just for drinks.  We sat at the pretty bar, made of shiny, hammered copper, and admired the brick walls and pleasing lighting.  Joel, behind the bar, was very helpful in making suggestions for what to try.  This is a wine bar and features a menu with wines from Long Island to Sardegna.  I opted for something from the latter and tried a Moscadeddu, a pleasing dessert wine with both tastes of honey but still a bit of a tang.  The restaurant was busy but yet did not feel crowded, and the other people at the bar seemed friendly.    It was just the atmosphere we were looking for! Add this to your list of nightlife spots to try, and of course if you get hungry you can eat there too.

Whom You Know Highly Recommends UVA!!!
