Cruising Peachy at Lime Rock Park: Racers, Trains, Sun & Food

A reminder to the media that Lime Rock fans who live anywhere near Metro-North Railroad’s Harlem Line can buy a train-and-race-ticket package for a discounted price.

For one price – train ticket plus track ticket – race-goers can take the Metro-North train from any station on the Harlem Line to Wassaic, where they are picked up by Lime Rock staff and brought to the track for the big races on Memorial Day Monday.

At the end of the day, we take the fans back to Wassaic to get on the train back home.

* The weather forecast for Lime Rock Park is sunny, clear and warm all the way through Memorial Day Monday. There are four races on Saturday, three races on Monday -- Grand-Am sports car and prototype racing is spectacular at Lime Rock.

Fans can buy tickets online, then print the ticket at home.

* The all-new Lime Rock Park “Midway Café” Food Court is up and running and doing land-rush business. The track has a new, big menu -- Americana, Southwest, Louisiana and California – and lower prices. New menus at the Paddock and Outfield Concession stands, too.

And if you haven’t heard, “MasterChef” TV star Jake Gandolfo will be at Lime Rock all weekend, including having some culinary fun with the track’s own chef master, Craig Hoctor. Fans can eat, watch racing and be merry this Memorial Day weekend at Lime Rock Park.
