Kings’ Carriage House is nestled in an antique building at 251 East 82nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Since 1994, proprietors Elizabeth King and Paul Farrell have recreated the elegant atmosphere and warm hospitality of a European manor house restaurant in this intimate two-story establishment.
The beautiful interior of Kings’ Carriage House has earned consistent recognition on New York’s Top Décor lists. The Zagat Survey ranks it among New York City’s top 50 restaurants for décor and remarks that this “absolutely charming carriage house” is an “Upper East Side treasure” offering “the equivalent of a country getaway with delightful service and exceptional dining.”
Guests dine in luxurious surroundings in three intimate dining rooms. Gilded paintings, crystal chandeliers and antique furnishings lend an aristocratic feel. The expert staff provide flawless service and indulge each guest with romance and charm. Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served daily. A table d’hote menu features prime aged beef, wild salmon, duck and seasonal game. The best of local market ingredients and organic products are used. Luxurious desserts and a cheese course with fruits, biscuits & a nightcap of port are a memorable finish.
Also, the intimate atmosphere of this unique venue is perfectly suited for private dining. With their impeccable reputation for exceptional cuisine and attentive service, Kings’ Carriage House is a wonderful place for spectacular dinner parties and celebrations, memorable meetings and corporate events.
As Diana Taylor speaks about how to define success, we reemphasize that Kings' Carriage House is the perfect destination for any successful event, whether it be a shower or a romantic dinner for two, you will bask in their Irish talents that are sure to please. And also, the Irish are known worldwide for their quick wit and extraordinary humor, so we think Diana's tale will evoke a chuckle or two among you to match that.
