ENK INTERNATIONAL AND WHITE TEAM UP FOR GROWTH
ENK International has entered into an exclusive agreement with White, Milan’s most creative fashion trade show producer to bring signature Italian brands to the American market. This collaboration will kick off at the February 2012 Coterie with ENK initially hosting over 50 White apparel and accessories brands in a mutually agreed upon venue in New York.
Similarly, ENK will invite Coterie designers to participate in Coterie@White beginning in 2012 in a mutually agreed upon venue in Milan. Both shows, hugely successful in their respective markets, aim to increase visibility and growth in foreign markets.
The Italian brands selected by ENK and White to participate in the official launch will be comprised of women’s clothing, accessories and footwear. While they enjoy demand and popularity in Europe, their introduction to the United States markets provides a very important opportunity for American retailers.
“This is a game-changer in terms of accessibility and responsiveness to retail buyers’ needs. ENK is committed to growing globally by bringing collections to the United States as well as delivering American brands to other countries such as we did with ENKCHINA. Procuring exclusive agreements with other trade shows is forging the way, “ states ENK Chairman, Elyse Kroll.
After White’s debut at Coterie in February 2012, White Men will be launched at ENKNY, ENK’s premier menswear event in New York City. In addition, White will be participating in the next ENKCHINA event in March 2012 thereby furthering ENK’s global reach and influence.
“Our goal is to make it easy for Italian and international brands to expand to the American marketplace. ENK is the ideal partner for us because we share the same vision in fashion and business,” says Maximiliano Bizzi, owner and founder of White.
White is best known as an unconventional fashion expo that features a very high level of designer and eco-compatible display elements. The show continually attracts about 12,000 key retail buyers from around the globe.
“We have a very rich portfolio of brands showing at Coterie each season. Beginning in 2012, we are very excited to introduce White@Coterie giving our retail buyers an enriched and broader experience by putting Europe at their fingertips,” states Tom Nastos, President of ENK.
Coterie currently has 1400 brands that range from contemporary to classic with over 25,000 retailers attending each season. In September 2011, Sole Commerce, one of ENK’s fashion footwear shows, will celebrate its Tenth Anniversary and runs concurrently within Coterie featuring 200 footwear and accessory brands. Coterie encompasses ready-to-wear, accessories, eveningwear and outerwear plus the TMRW section, which enables young emerging designers to participate in a global fashion exhibition.
