“In response to continued consumer demand for natural and organic products, we are expanding these resources at EX·TRACTS,” said Melissa Engongoro, EX·TRACTS sales manager. “The summer market also will offer buyers access to an increased number of personal care suppliers.”

EX·TRACTS will continue its long-standing partnership with the Day Spa Association, to present a four-part spa-focused seminar at NYIGF. “Spa Retailing Essentials for Buyers & Suppliers” will be offered at the Javits Center on Tuesday, August 16, from 8:00AM to 12:00PM, with new sessions beginning each hour. Allan Share of the Day Spa Association, Patti Biro of Biro & Associates, and Kim Matheson Shedrick of mySpaShop.com will provide a variety of information – from both a buyer and supplier perspective – essential to successful spa retail sales, such as emerging trends, special events, and multiple channel retailing.
Seminar tickets are $40 in advance and $50 onsite. As an added bonus, each registrant will receive a free one-year membership in the Day Spa Association, a value of $199. Seminar registration is available online at www.nyigf.com/programs.
The EX·TRACTS Best New Products Awards will recognize excellence in five categories – Bath & Body, Beauty Accessory, Cosmetic & Fragrance, Natural/Organic and Packaging – along with one overall “Best of Show” distinction. Winners will be selected by a panel of trade and consumer editors based on innovative product concept, industry need, aesthetic appeal, creative use of materials/technology and creative packaging.
