On Tuesday, June 21st, 300 of New York City’s most charitable along with
esteemed guest host, The View’s Joy Behar, will set sail aboard luxury yacht, The Atlantis in
an effort to raise money and awareness of Friends of Animal Rescue (FOAR.org). FOAR is
a non-profit organization providing financial assistance to small animal rescue groups
throughout New York State who do not have access to other financial assistance. 100% of
the proceeds will go directly to animals in need.

Accompanying Ms. Behar, the charismatic cast of National Geographic’s hit series,
Rescue
Ink will round out a special evening bringing together celebrity supporters, animal
advocates and individuals pursuing placement of adoptable pets into loving homes and
those seeking to end the needless destruction of innocent animals.
FOAR’s 3rd annual summer sunset cruise will offer guests a chance to win an array of
exciting silent auction prizes. Additionally, guests will enjoy a luxurious sunset cruise
around the Statue of Liberty, live music, complimentary cocktails and a full buffet dinner
catered by famed Upper East Side haute, Swifty’s.
Of the 40,000 animals who pass through New York City shelters each year, 16,000 of them
never make it out. No animal deserves to die because it’s fallen victim to animal cruelty.
Please help us continue our mission of giving every animal in need a second chance at life.

About Rescue Ink:
A few years ago, eight tough guys from the mean streets, who frequented hot rod shows and tattoo
parlors, discovered their strongest bond was actually a passion for animals – and they formed a
rescue organization like no other. Some have violent and turbulent pasts, complete with run-ins with
the law, but all are seeking redemption and solace in their mission to save animals from human
abuse. Their weekly series, Rescue Ink, documents this unlikely group of animal activists on their
crusade to save helpless, abandoned and abused animals. The eclectic band of brothers —
composed of club bouncers, security guards and even a retired New York Police Department (NYPD)
detective — is on call 24/7 to take on cases no one else will. They’re not cops, animal experts or even
animal control. They’re just big guys with even bigger hearts and a desire to save animals from
deplorable living conditions and abusive or simply misguided owners.
About Friends of Animal Rescue:
Friends of Animal Rescue (www.FOAR.org) is a registered 501(c)(3). It’s mission is to provide
financial assistance to animal rescue groups throughout New York State. They are able to support
individuals and smaller rescue groups who do not have access to other financial assistance. By
providing financial support, they provide animals with a second chance at life. They keep the dream
alive that one person truly can make a difference in the life of an innocent animal.
