Show Your Support: Gateway Cancer Research E Cards
Cancer Survivors Day may be in June, but it can be celebrated any time of the year with the new Gateway for Cancer Research E-cards now offered free of charge on the company’s website, www.demandcurestoday. org.
The Gateway’s E-card selection includes sentiments such as: This is why you rock, This is why I believe, This is why I love you, This is why I’m lucky and This is why I have faith. The sender can add his/her own personal touch then enter a loved one’s or friend’s email address and send the card.
The Gateway E-cards are not limited to sending to those undergoing cancer treatment. A variety of themes and sentiments are available to be emailed to friends and family to honor a special day, celebrate an occasion, or just to let the recipient know you are thinking of them. Printed versions of the card will be available starting in June at Cancer Treatment Centers of America’s® hospitals in Zion, Illinois; Philadephia, Pennsylvania; Tulsa, Oklahoma and Goodyear, Arizona.
An optional donation feature also allows the E-card-giver to make a donation to cancer research during the card selection process. An astounding 99 cents of every dollar received by The Gateway goes directly to fund cancer research, affording the opportunity to make a real difference in cancer research. Unlike other charitable organizations, The Gateway does not hold funds in reserve, but instead uses all money received to move research into promising treatment innovation forward.
The Gateway is dedicated to changing how cancer research is done. By funding bold ideas, led by treatment innovatorsSM focused on finding cures for cancer now, The Gateway is working to make promising new treatments available to cancer patients more quickly.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer E-cards as a new option on our website,” said Lynette Bisconti, President of The Gateway for Cancer Research, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer now. “As a cancer survivor, I know firsthand that reaching out is so appreciated when someone is undergoing cancer treatment. A simple yet thoughtful gesture like an E-card can bring a smile to your face during a difficult time,” Bisconti said.
A 12-year cancer survivor, Bisconti is a passionate champion for patient empowerment and patient-centered care. At The Gateway, Bisconti has shaped the organization’s mission to provide cancer patients with treatment options that can quickly restore quality of life and health. She is working to change the face of cancer research today by injecting urgency and accountability into the equation. The Gateway’s tagline: Demand Cures TodaySM communicates the mission and its urgency. For more information about E-cards or The Gateway for Cancer Research, visit www.demandcurestoday.org .
