Champagne Wishes: Zorzal Malbec Rose Highly Recommended by Whom You Know

Zoral Malbac Rose is as delicious as it looks. That beautiful pink color invites you in for a drink or maybe two. I put mine in the fridge to get it nice and chilled. On a hot summer day it's always great to have a fine Rose to sip on. Took this up to the roof with some friends we paired it with some fun aperitifs. As I opened the bottle you could smell the ripe fruity notes. You can tell by just the aroma what a fun and light wine it's going to be. We poured it into our glasses and just loved the beautiful color. With just one sip you can taste the sleek and sweet tastes. Oh and the strawberry taste is wonderful! It's a fairly sweet wine which I love. I've never had a better wine on a nice hot summer day!

I recently received a bottle of Zorzal Malbec Rose' made from the Malbec grapes grown in the mountains of Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina.  I am not a fan of rose' in general, however, I am now.  The color can only be described as beautiful.  Another thing different about this bottle compared to others I usually buy, is that there is no cork, it has a screw top.  I've read where more and more wines are bottled this way, even more expensive ones.  I must say, not having to look for a cork screw does have it's advantages.  Once opened, the rose' had a nice scent to it, a very pleasing floral aroma, perhaps a hint of cherry on the nose.  I shared the bottle with two friends who both have extensive wine collections.  They agreed that the taste was very refreshing with a strawberry finish.  I agreed, but added that I detected a cranberry flavor as well.  A great wine for a warm, summer day, relaxing by the pool.  Well chilled, an excellent aperitif as well.

I always want to like Rose.  It is so beautiful in the bottle.  Unfortunatly, I typically find myself a bit disappointed.  It isn't always as it promises to be -- a fantastic alternative to white and red.  I love the Zorzal -- a Rose made from Malbec.  The color, once poured is amost ruby red and quite alluring.  The scent is of fresh srawberries, which made me lean towards drinking this as an aperitif.  It was fantastic.  The acidity and the sweet tannens worked together to create a great wine.  It goes without saying, that this wine needs to be served well chilled.  Zorzal is imported from Argentina, no stranger to wine, however this was my first time trying it. I can't wait to try their other varietals.  A must to serve again.  It was refreshing and a nice little treat!

The excitement of this Rose comes in it's clear, rasberry red color.  Sweet to the palate, it works it's wonders with a dish of Queso del Pais, a white, Puerto Rican farmer's cheese.  Pair it with other delicacies, perhaps a focaccia, as well, for aperitives.  Savor it's redolent parfum in a sultry summer sangria!
Summer bound, this rose opens the door to a wealth of fresh new, and award winning wines from Zorzal.  Argentina awaits!
