Italian Undercover
Italian Undercover!  Does the name Francesco Paulo LoVecchio mean anything to you?  How about Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco?  No?!  Okay, one more try - surely you have heard of Concetta Franconero?  Need some help?  Perhaps you would recognize them by their "undercover aliases" - Frankie Laine, Lou Christie, and Connie Francis!  Here's the scoop: Sure, most people are aware that Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Connie Francis are Italian.  And most people are also aware that their given names have been changed considerably.  But not everyone knows that the same can be said for countless others, including Frankie Laine, Lou Christie, Bobby Rydell, and more...until now!  In this show, Jenna revisits the music of some of the most popular and influential pop singers of the 20th century...who all happened to be Italians, Undercover!  Come join in the fun of Jenna's exposé
in this show that also features her five-piece band: musical director Fortune Esposito on guitar, David Crone on piano Rob Broelmann on bass, Bobby Sher on drums, and Brian Broelmann on tenor sax, with Kelly Esposito-Broelmann and Rob Langeder on backup vocals.

Jenna with Mic

A note from Jenna...

Happy 4th of July Weekend! Hard to believe we're halfway through the year already, isn't it?  As we head into summer,  I'm delighted to be working on my brand new show, Italian Undercover, which will be debuting at Feinstein's on Tuesday, August 30th.  The music in the show is a LOT of fun, and we've been having a blast putting it together!

I'm also very excited aboutMetroJam, the open mic I host at the Metropolitan Room, switching to a weekly schedule!  MetroJam has been on the first Friday of the month for several years now, and we're thrilled to be able to do it every week going forward!  We've developed a terrific core group of performers and supporters, and we look forward to expanding that group now that it's going to be taking place more often!  Big thanks go to our producer, Jeff Leibowitz, as well as the fabulous MetroJam Band (John DiPinto on piano, Ritt Henn on bass, and Bobby Sher on drums) for making this switch possible!  And a big thanks to the founder of MetroJam, Joe Bachana, who passed the hosting duties to me two years ago - without him, there'd have been no MetroJam in the first place!

In addition to Italian Undercover and MetroJam, I'm very much looking forward to ALL of the performances I have coming up this summer - from Grappa to Little Italy to the Sons of Italy Feast in Tappan!  It's going to be busy, but fun - and there's nothing else in the world I'd rather be doing!

Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read this and for your support!!  I hope to see you soon!

All the best,
Jenna
