Healthy Peachy: ACU-LIFE Deluxe Eyeglass Repair Kit by Health Enterprises
I was so happy when I received this in the mail. I was in dire need of an eyeglass repair kit. A few months ago I lost a screw to my glasses and didn't have a way to fix them. I had to bring them to my eye doctor to be fixed. I also teach in an elementary school and sometimes my students who wear glasses somehow lose a screw while they are at school. I've started carrying it in my school bag just in case I need to fix one of my students glasses as well. It is the perfect size, that it barely took any room and fit perfectly. I will never be without my eyeglass repair kit again.
My Mother was the gadget freak in the family. In the check-out line at the supermarket, she'd pick up the "Deluxe Eyeglass Repair Kit", over the Soap digest, just to make sure I had one. Somewhere in her house, she'd have this little kit, and that was a good thing. Bear that in mind the next time you see one of these multipurpose, dedicated kits. Health Enterprises gives you a choice of screwdrivers, an assortment of those little screws you always lose, and miscellaneous accoutrements that make fixing your own glasses a happy thing, and not a chore. Who knew you needed a handle to adapt the tools to working with one hand? Do it once, and you'll see how it all works. It's the same idea of dropping a contact lense: it sounds really hopeless, and yet, it all works out in the end. Oh, and if you happen to own a sewing machine, those tiny screwdrivers are lifesavers!
It always happens at the most inopportune time possible, a lost screw in my eyeglass frame leading to a lens falling out. Or how about, an eyeglass frame arm falling off, either way, not a good situation. I have purchased other eyeglass frame repair kits in the past, but none came close to the Acu-Life Deluxe Eyeglass Repair Kit by Health Enterprises.
The kit contains and assortment of four screws, that fit most eyeglass frames, inside of the handle of a 5x magnifying glass. There are two small screwdrivers, one straight head, one Phillips. An adapter to hold those small screwdrivers allow you to make the repair using one hand, very handy. Also included are a pair of nose pads and a pair of ear grips in case one of those falls off. Last but not least, is an eyeglass cord to attach to the frame arms, also very useful. All of this for the price of a fancy cup of coffee. The Deluxe Eyeglass Repair Kit is compact and travels with me wherever I go.
