NIGHTLIGHT: Academy of Art University Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center

"Amo Le Scarpe Italiane!!!" Peachy Deegan exclaims time and time again, and of course she wore one of her famous Anna Baiguera ballet flats by Mover and Shaker Anna Baiguera from Milan to this show.  The Academy of Art University show began with a bang by the Italian Trade Commission and it totally stole the show.  Every look was perfectly classy-less is more, and it boasted strong neutrals and clean lines that Peachy would die for...the girl loves Italian shoes now she needs the clothes to go with it.  Don't you?  Look!:

And the hit parade continues:

We really like these above shoes.

We were also impressed with Meredith Action.  We loved the New England espadrille looks.

San Francisco, CA, September 9, 2011 – Since 2005, the School of Fashion has premiered the collections of recent graduates during New York Fashion Week. “Part of our commitment to the designers is to help launch their careers and have their collections seen by as many industry professionals as possible,” said the President of Academy of Art University, Dr. Elisa Stephens. “Debuting their collections during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center is an incredible opportunity, especially since the national and international fashion community are gathered in New York City during that time.”

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week uses fashion illustrations by Gladys Perint Palmer, Executive Director of the School of Fashion at Academy of Art University, in the event branding by Almeter Design for the Spring 2012 shows at Lincoln Center. This will be the second season as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week used her illustrations for their Fall 2011 event branding.
