“New York City is home to some of the most popular stand-up comedians who bring live comedy entertainment to city stages every single day,” said George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company. “Comedy Week displays New York City’s humor and proves that there is no other city that embraces laughter more than our own five boroughs. I invite New Yorkers to laugh more this fall and experience New York City comedy at its best.”

“We’re excited to be partnering with NYC & Company and Comedy Central on this first-ever Comedy Week,” says Caroline Hirsch, owner of Carolines on Broadway and the New York Comedy Festival. “We hope that Comedy Week will further raise awareness about stand-up comedy in New York and what it means to this city. And with sitcoms, late-night shows and feature films being shot here on an ever-increasing basis, New York is truly the comedy capital of the world.”

“NYC has a rich history in comedy and truly encapsulates the comedy DNA of our network,” said Mitch Fried, SVP, COMEDY CENTRAL Live Entertainment. “With our headquarters and several Emmy and Peabody Award–winning shows in production here, New York City is COMEDY CENTRAL.”
