On Dan Wheldon, by Ron Piasecki, President, Motor Racing Heritage Association, Daytona Beach, Florida

"I met Dan a few years back in the garage area of the Daytona International Speedway. He was a client of my daughter's and had sent her some collectibles, one was a scale model of his race car. I asked him to autograph it for her, which of course he did. We spoke of his win at Indy the previous year and of all the press coverage Danica Patrick received instead of him. He said he didn't mind it as he had won the race and that was more important than all the TV time she received. He was a very nice young man and was good for the sport. he will be dearly missed by many. My prayers go out to his family and friends."
