READ THIS: THE GIFT by Cecelia Ahern
It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know...and not that we know Bertie Ahern personally, but when he was graduation speaker at Peachy's graduation from Boston College, since she spent her junior year in Cork she was explaining to everyone in her class what a Taoiseach is (Prime Minister of Ireland...) Ages ago, Peachy did read P.S. I Love You and also saw the movie, and that was her first Cecelia Ahern experience, and it was a good one or we wouldn't be telling you about it! The Gift is a wonderful read showing how much one's life philosophy influences cause and effect in life and effectively, the question of priority. A modern-day Scrooge tale enhanced by Cecilia's unique writing style that is warm and inviting, and Irish of course which in our opinion always means better, The Gift is a universally appealing story that would enlighten even the most dedicated career-people, especially in Manhattan. Peachy did learn in Ireland to enjoy life from the philosophy of many there, and though we have not met Cecilia, we think in The Gift she weaves a plot of surprise with well-developed characters that will delight everyone. The Gift is a gift and Whom You Know highly recommends it! Some of our favorite quotes from The Gift by Cecelia Ahern:
"People, like houses, hold their secrets. Sometimes the secrets inhabit them, and sometimes people inhabit their secrets...."
For the first time in paperback…
