DAYLIGHT: November 8, 2011 New York Women's Foundation Luncheon - Guest Speakers Diana Taylor and Katherine Farley, Chairman of Lincoln Center Hosted by Jean Shafiroff at Le Cirque
Today, November 8, 2011 Jean Shafiroff hosted a lovely luncheon at Le Cirque to benefit the New York Women's Foundation featuring a special conversation with Katherine G. Farley, Chairwomen, Lincoln Center, and Diana Taylor focusing on the topics of leadership and volunteerism, which becomes more and more pertinent in the state of the economy today. The New York Women’s Foundation® (NYWF®) is a voice for women and a force for change. They are a cross-cultural alliance of women catalyzing partnerships and leveraging human and financial capital to achieve sustained economic security and justice for women and girls. With fierce determination, they mobilize hearts, minds and resources to create an equitable and just future for women, families and communities in New York City and we cannot think of a more caring, dynamite philanthropist to be involved than Jean Shafiroff, who is a truly gracious and brilliant person.
Jean pointed out that when you empower a woman, in doing so you empower a family and a community. Its multiple beneficial effects are clear and Jean is an excellent speaker.

Barbara asked a good question during Q & A (oooh you know we just love good questions!) and the group found out that the NYWF funds 68 organizations in 5 boroughs.
Doesn't Ann Rapp look fabulous in this hat!
