READ THIS: Eloise at the Ball Game Adapted by: Lisa McClatchy / Illustrated by: Tammie Lyon / In the Style of: Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight

We love reading stage books in our house. When they come in the form of an Eloise story we are love, love, loving it! Eloise at the Ball Game is a home run in my family! The illustrations are fantastic, your children will delight in them as much as mine do! Getting away from the tippy-top floor, Eloise and the gang are on the way to a ball game!
Whether trying to eat all the junk food in the stadium (Yuck, your tummy will hurt we tell Eloise!)or catch a ball (you can do it Eloise!) we always read this story at least twice. A real winner.

Baseball and Eloise! What could be better? The Eloise Ready to Read books are one of the best motivators for my struggling readers to read. I had several students read this book and wanted to read it over and over again because they had success with it. I spoke with several students after they read this Eloise adventure and they want to tell me stories of going to a baseball game. That got me thinking of other activities we could do based on this one story. I love that Eloise gets my students wanting to read.

Growing up in New York City gives you easy access to some of the greatest sports of all time. So it is no wonder that Kay Thompson created Eloise at the Ball Game! This Ready-to-Read book is so enjoyable for both girls and boys! Eloise hits the stadium in only a way she can. Having the perfect Baseball experience with singing, eating hot dogs and even catching a ball. Perfect story for getting children excited about reading.

Eloise at The Ball Game is a fun filled all American book. Eloise goes to a baseball game with her Nanny. Read the book and you'll see what a fabulous time they do have! This book is great for the baseball lover and for those who just love Eloise. Her quick whit and fun makes you want to run out to a ball game. Children just get sucked into the story. It's a great book for the young ones who are just getting started.

Eloise and Nanny enjoy a wonderful summer day by going to a ball game in "Eloise at the Ball Game". Wait...Eloise and Nanny? At a ball game? That's right! This book had my four year old and me cracking up. Eloise and Weenie (her dog) don matching team shirts and "lucky hats" to the game. Eloise outdoes herself on snacks at the stadium (popcorn, hot dogs, peanuts and cotton candy), snacking until she literally turns green! She catches a foul ball in her lucky hat and cheers on her favorite player, after which he gets a home run! All in all, Eloise, Nanny and Weenie have a splendid outing at the ball park!
