Terrific Takeout: Farinella

If you haven't had the Italian bakery pizza at Farinella, you are seriously depriving yourself.  In a town where pizza places are as prevalent as Starbucks, second-rate nail salons and the overly marketed commercial bank on every corner, Farinella sets itself apart with creative toppings, fabulous crust, and great quality.
Above is the V.I.P., which of course stands for Very Important Pizza.  This is what we mean when we say creative and unique: where else have you seen toppings like this: Artichoke pesto, fresh mint, pecorino romano, goat cheese, and black pepper!  It's truly a winning combination that will delight your tastebuds.
The primavera absolutely hits the spot with mushroom, zucchini, and mozzarella.  This is a perfect example of how simplicity trumps it all.  If we were going to eat a whole pizza, this would be the one we want.
The Amatriciana, tomato, mozzarella, pancetta, pecorino romano and fresh hot chili pepper has all the ingredients in the correct ratio to each other with the proper kick!  You'll just adore it.  And finally, the Paesana salad was the perfect complement to the pizza: feta cheese, mesclun, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and onion were fresh and dazzling.
