NYIGF’S Personal Accessories Division Showcases Design Resources at Winter NYIGF

Design will meet accessories, with a growing collection of fashion-forward and design-driven resources, such as textile jewelry and stainless steel wallets, showcased by some 300 exhibitors in Personal Accessories featuring Details at the winter 2012 New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), January 29 – February 2, 2012, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center .

“Products in NYIGF’s Personal Accessories featuring Details division always have reflected current fashion trends,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “In keeping with NYIGF’s ‘Driven by Design’ orientation, there is an increasing number of design-driven resources presented within this fashion-forward collection of wearables, jewelry, handbags, men’s accessories and travel goods.”

Leading design-oriented exhibitors in Personal Accessories featuring Details include accessory manufacturers Dynomighty (Tyvek® wallets) and TOKYObay (watches and bags); jewelry makers like Paz Sintes (handmade textile jewelry) and f. is for frank (personalized handmade jewelry); and design studios like Stewart/Stand (stainless steel accessories). Studio Manhattan Art + Design joins the division this winter with wearable art featuring the urban photography of Ayhan Kimsesizcan.

Boutique-caliber fashion resources also are well represented within Personal Accessories featuring Details, including newcomers Chan Luu USA (scarves and jewelry) and DIDA Designs (ribbon jewelry). Returning exhibitors include Claridge + King (loungewear); mai (cashmere wearables); One Swell Gal (accessories and clothing with original silk screen designs); OSE (vintage-inspired hair accessories and shawls); and Stephanie Johnson® (bags).

As part of the growing “green” movement, several Personal Accessories featuring Details exhibitors also will present stylish earth-friendly and socially-responsible products. This includes: Angelrox (tunics and wraps); Bungalow360 (handcrafted bags benefitting no kill animal shelters); First World Trash (handbags from discarded materials); and Polli (eco-friendly jewelry).

NYIGF’s Personal Accessories division showcases some 300 exhibitors with an exciting array of fine and fashion jewelry, handbags, scarves, leathergoods, wearables, men’s gifts, and more. Its handmade jewelry neighborhood features high-quality hand-crafted personal accessories, and Details presents a trend-forward, boutique collection of wearables, jewelry, handbags, men’s accessories and travel goods.
