Sotheby's New York Results - The Collection of Dodie Rosekrans - New York, 8 & 9 December 2011

Sotheby’s dedicated auction of Property from the Collection of Dodie Rosekrans totaled $6,206,951 over the past two days in New York. The sale offered furniture and decorative art from Mrs. Rosekrans’s residences in San Francisco, Paris and Venice, covering a wide range of geographies and styles and encompassing the tastes, trends and interests for which she was well known.

In addition, yesterday’s Antiquities sale at Sotheby’s New York offered A Marble Head of Zeus Ammon, Roman Imperial,circa 120-160 A.D. from Mrs. Rosekrans’s collection, which more than doubled its high estimate of $1.2 million in achieving $3,554,500 – the second-highest price in that evening’s sale.
