Beautiful Bouquets: Taking Care of Your Azalea Tree by Richard Salome Flowers

You know this tree looked fantastic when we got it:
and you'll be pleased to know that it is still going strong because this is where you should be ordering your flowers from: http://www.richardsalomeflowers.com/
However, though Peachy diligently waters it, the nasty Manhattan inside winter air is seriously drying it out. If this is happening to you, this is what Lorriane Salome tells Peachy to do:

Try to make sure the plant is completely watered by filling up the sink with water and submerging the pot of the plant into the water. The foliage on the azaleas have a tendency to dry out just from the heat in an NY apt as there is not enough moisture in our air. It can help to mist the flowers and foliage
whenever you have time. A cool room is better. Avoid all heat sources or open windows.
The heat will dry it up and the cold air will damage it at this time of year.
The flowers on the azaleas always dry out you just have to cut them off if the foliage is still good
it is possible for them to rebloom eventually.  Sometimes the azaleas just dry out even though they are watered due to lack of moisture in the air.  We sell them as temporary blooming gift plants.
If you feel the foliage is really gone but might come back try cutting it back and soak it once a week and water it everyday as usual. If you see any new green foliage growth its a very good sign,
Seems like you have been taking good care of it.
