Masterpiece London is once again set to thrill collectors and new enthusiasts across the globe with a spectacular line up of UK and international dealers committed to exhibiting at the fair this year. In its third year Masterpiece London has firmly restored London’s position as essential to the global art and antiques market. The fair will take place from 28 June – 4 July 2012 (with a Preview on Wednesday 27 June) in the South Grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3.

Hailed by Oprah Winfrey as an event with “….an exciting and diverse range of quality and beautiful things” and described by Sir David Tang as being “at the premier end of all the fairs”, Masterpiece London showcases the best of the best in art, antiques and design from around the world.

With capacity for up to 170 exhibitors and an exceptional list of dealers already signed up, the fair will once again bring to London a wealth of exceptional UK and international exhibitors, including Dickinson (London, UK), A La Vieille Russie (New York City, USA), Alessandra di Castro & Carlo Orsi (Rome, Italy), Sycomore Ancient Art (Geneva, Switzerland) and Brame & Lorenceau (Paris, France). New and exciting names are also confirmed for 2012, including Siegelson (New York City, USA), Rudigier (Munich, Germany), Applicat-Prazan (Paris, France), Kaare Bernsten (Oslo, Norway), Hemmerle (Munich, Germany), and Sperone Westwater (New York City, USA).

A wide-ranging collection of unusual objects of the highest order across an assortment of disciplines, from the fine and decorative arts to important collectors’ pieces such as rare maps, watches, jewellery, fine wines, important furniture and contemporary design, will be offered for sale. All works will be stringently vetted by a committee of experts before the fair opens, giving buyers every confidence in their choice.

The discerning visitor will be spoilt for choice at Masterpiece London 2012, with not only a treasure trove of magnificent exhibits to discover, but also a complimentary educational visitor programme of captivating lectures from The Wallace Collection and engaging experiences with exhibitors, as well as a fine dining offering courtesy of Caprice Holdings. Masterpiece London is also delighted to announce CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, has once again been selected as the beneficiary of the Masterpiece London Midsummer Party which will take place this year on Thursday 28 June.
