Peachy at The Met: Infinite Jest: Caricature and Satire From Leonardo To Levine until March 4, 2012

Americans in Paris (1951) by Hirshfeld is just one of the many highly entertaining two-dimensional works of hilarity that can only be found at our favorite museum right now...you remember we met Louise at Landmarks this year, our favorite event.  We have a real love of caricature and amusement and we can assure you this exhibit is dedicated to that.  Stuffy museum goers need not apply!  This exhibit entertains and pushes the envelop throughout time and we especially adore the historical references that are peppered throughout the three rooms that you absolutely must see.  The British spot with crowds in the middle room left front corner are particularly well done.  The French fashion drawings depicting dandies are also quite interesting...The Bum shop will make you laugh!  Our favorite one was French on the back wall showing two women fighting over a bonnet.  Go see this and bring your humor!
