Terrific Takeout: Nonna

Baby it's cold outside and it's time to talk about a fantastic hot new spot for takeout and Nonna is that!  Situated on the Upper West side on 85th and Columbus, it has a great selection that is sure to leave you deciding how to narrow the selections down.  Baked Eggplant is a wonderful way to start and its fresh authenticity will warm your senses and delight your appetite: slow baked with cheese and herbs, this is a winner and what you should order even if you think you only want to have a glass of wine at their inviting bar.  The texture was sublime and you know well of Peachy's mozzarella addiction...
...and that is it just a little closer!
You know we are huge advocates of salad, and after this many takeout reviews it's hard to believe that a new place can make a salad that differentiates itself from all the rest - but believe it since it's true.  The Antipasto Chopped Salad is a delightful symphony of chopped fresh greens, vegetables, and cheese to please.  The shallot-garlic dressing could become addictive and they smartly put it on the side.  Also, every container was legibly labeled which we love.
Look how well everything is cut-no big, obnoxious pieces!
This is a great salad to eat on a date because it's impossible to make a mess-it's so neat.
Mmmm fries fries fries and ketchup neatly on the side as well brilliantly joined the hangar steak, which was just great.  We love to try steak at non-steak houses to see which measure up, and this one does.  It was grilled medium just as we asked.
Grilled beef sat pretty on toasted bread and sauteed onions and every bite melted in our mouth.
Try to keep your computer screen clean audience, and if you're having trouble doing that, just order!  Jeremy is a superprofessional owner of The Restaurant Group and we surmise that this is just the first in the hit parade...
