Terrific Takeout: Yefsi Estiatorio

You know that Peachy Deegan absolutely loves the Upper East Side and it's her favorite part of town, and we've found one more thing to love about it: Yefsi Estiatorio! It has been open for 11 days now and we hope we are the first to tell you about it...they haven't even issued a press release yet but when your Yefsi Chips are this fantastic, you don't need a press release. You only need to taste their crisp yet moist texture and have them take a swim in the singularly sensational Tzatziki sauce.
Here is a chip closeup:
Mmmmmm. Regis if you didn't live all the way in Connecticut we would have invited you over for some. This starter is a Greek staple and we haven't had any that were better than Yefsi Estiatorio's.  We know it would be excellent because we worked with Executive Chef and Owner Christos Christou before and he is tremendously talented.
You know we are big believers in salad, and the Horiatiki Traditional Greek Salad is the one to order here. Dressed just right, this combination includes tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, olives and feta. Even if you are like Picky Peachy and think you do not like Feta because usually it is left in a pile on the side, you are going to like THIS Feta. So fresh and with superb texture, it will melt in your mouth.  Everything is well-seasoned and though Peachy normally asks for the dressing on the side, she knew Yefsi Estiatorio would know exactly how to not overdress it.
It's winter-you should overdress, not your salad.
Another great aspect: they clearly label each container:
Please meet the Tsipoura!
Beautifully arranged, this Mediterranean wonder is imported and tastes like it just hopped off the plane.  It was adorned with a beautiful lemony butter sauce, again not overwhelming but just enough, and the capers were the right touch.
It fell open straightaway and you can see how easily the bone came out.
Firm flakes will impress the most discriminating palates and dipping each bite in the sauce only adds to the succulent experience.  Even the fresh bread was outstanding.
Absolutely worth the trip to York Avenue, Yefsi Estiatorio is Terrific Takeout!
