Terrific Takeout: Aperitivo Pizza Bar

Pizza, pizza we love you let us count the ways!

And we have found yet another fantastic spot for pizza in Manhattan: Aperitivo!

They call themselves Tivo for short it seems but no matter what they're named, you can be assured their pizza is tops. We were tempted by so many inviting ingredients that at the smart suggestion of manager Vasilis, Peachy ordered half with pepperoni, mushrooms and onions and the other half with roasted peppers, garlic and broccoli.

It also looks splendid from an angle:

We do love our vegetables on pizza and remember the experts are now saying if you have 8 or 9 kinds of vegetables per day you have a better chance of beating cancer. Adding the tomato sauce we count six vegetables and seriously, can YOU think of a more delicious way to eat them? The crust was strong enough to support the party on top, soft enough to enjoy and the cheese was so fresh and flavorful, punctuating every bite with gooey goodness and joy that only mozzarella can bring.

For the salad, we tried the Italian Tuna Salad with asparagus, avocado, cherry tomatoes and caperberries. We found this concoction entirely creative and especially loved the supercute, supercrisp, super-bursting-with-juicy-flavor caperberries.

As a small plate we'd recommend the Portobello Mushrooms with field greens and artichoke.

Simple yet fantastic!

The slices showed off the skilled talents of those that work at Aperitivo and every bite was fresh and hearty.
