Terrific Takeout: Gourmet by Forte Glatt Kosher Catering
Who knew that Kosher food could be so delicious?
You all know Peachy Deegan is Catholic so she does not eat a lot of this kind of food often, but we thought we'd give it a whirl!
The Jewish have something in common with the Irish: Corned Beef.
This time of year, it is obviously popular with St. Patrick's Day around the corner so we tried the corned beef sandwich. Note that it is the Irish Americans not the Irish from Ireland that popularized corned beef.
Yes, this is a sandwich you want to meet. Simple and delicious-rye bread, mustard and a crisp pickle make the meal!
The grilled vegetables may have been our favorite aspect of this takeout: they were sliced thickly enough to be substantial and thin enough to cut evenly, they were grilled just enough, and the seasoning was outstanding. Cold mushrooms, green and yellow squash and red pepper combined to form a great color combination and this is a great addition to anything you order.
The avocado salad was fresh and tasty and a concoction of avocado, tomato, cucumbers and red onion. Though it is not the best in front of the camera, you can be assured your stomach will give it a thumbs up!
Oh, and they also do Chinese! The beef in Garlic Sauce was just as good as any Chinese takeout place we've tried. Gourmet by Forte is Terrific Takeout-good job Alex and David!
