My beloved mother, Elaine Ritsko Herbert, born Feb.8, 1924 passed away surrounded my her loved ones on March 27, 2012 in Uniontown, PA. She was well loved and will be missed. She is survived by her husband Kenneth (my father) of nearly fifty years. She has a lot of family and friends in PA. My mother loved children and even helped out in a day care in her later years. She was happiest when surrounded by children and family. I would like to do something to help the children in Western PA in her memory and honor. I think she would want this, after all, children are our future. I started a small children's room at the local library years ago and plan to contribute along the lines of education. Friends will be received in the Kezmarsky Funeral Home, 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, PA. on Friday March 30, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday morning until 9 am when prayers of transfer will be held followed by a 9:30 am mass of Christian Burial in St. John's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James Tringhese as celebrant. Internment will follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown.
