READ THIS: Guess How Much I Love You By Sam McBratney

This is an endearing tale about a Daddy Bunny and his son. The child so desperately tries to outdo his Father by expressing his love for him. He starts by saying the greatest and longest to describe his love. But his father takes it one step Father outdoing him. This goes on and on until the young bunny falls asleep thinking he has finally outdone his Father. But little does he know that with his little eyes sleepishly closed tight, that his Father makes one last declaration of love doubling his distance. This is an evergreen story that will be told for decades. My daughter enjoyed the loving banter back and forth and the playfulness of the dialogue between child and parent!

"I love you more than anything in the world, mommy!", exclaims my four and a half year old son every night before bed. "I love YOU more than anything in the world!", I say back. We mean it. Sam McBratney's "Guess How Much I Love You" is a sweet story about love between a parent and a child. In this case the parent is Big Nutbrown Hare and the child is Little Nutbrown Hare. With beautiful watercolors by Anita Jeram accompanying this tender, sweet tale, it is sure to immediately win a place in your heart. My son has a Little Nutbrown Hare that he affectionately named "Bunny-Bunny" when he was two. He has cuddled that little rabbit every night at bedtime for over two years! When I ask my son, "Guess how much I love you?"...he knows to answer, "More than anything in the world, mommy?" I do and I always will.

This is one of my favorite books! It's perfect to read to your child any time of day. Even though I don't have any children of my own yet, I know this is one I will have in my child's library. I brought it with me to my classroom, and I had many students wanting to read this book. I had many of them tell me their mom would read it to them before bed. Many of my students know the story so well, they can recite it along with me when I read it out loud. I love when I can find books that spark a love of reading in my students. I think this book is a must for any classroom or home library.

Guess How Much I Love You is a classic and beautiful book. I absolutely love this book! I remember this book as a child and was so happy when I received this book for my daughter. This book has such beautiful illustrations - I have always LOVED the images. The story behind the images are even more wonderful. I think this book is so sweet. The story brings me to tears. This is one of the best bedtime books for any young reader.
