Terrific Takeout: Ko Sushi
There's a new Jimmy Chu in town, and let us assure you his sushi is even better than the shoes of the guy with the same name spelled differently! We have published on very few sushi places (notice we said published on, not reviewed!) and after trying Ko Sushi, we can verify that it is one of the best we've experienced. We began with the Kani Salad: crabmeat, cucumber and tobiko in a Chef's Special Sauce. The crab was terrific, the cucumber was fresh and the caviar on top was a dream.
As an appetizer, we tried the Golden Lemon Scallop which is in a class by itself, it is that fabulous. Our favorite component of the takeout, the Golden Lemon Scallops are gently fried to perfection and served with mushrooms and scallions, resulting in a mouth-watering flavor that will have you hooked on your first bite. The portion sizes at Ko Sushi make a lot of sense and the overall freshness you will encounter will have you giving Jimmy two-thumbs up!
Finally, we tried the Salmon Teriyaki. We love Teriyaki and growing up going to hockey games in Hartford, Peachy would often order Steak Teriyaki over and over and over at Chuck's Steak House in the Hartford Civic Center with a Shirley Temple of course, but we have never experienced Teriyaki with Salmon. It is high time that we did that because it is a terrific flavor! The portion of salmon was generous and the broccoli was so crisp and wonderful we surmise even George Bush would have liked it!
Ko Sushi is absolutely Terrific Takeout!
And, may we suggest wearing Paul Mayer on your feet while you eat...
