New England's Oldest Food & Wine Festival: Harwinton Fairgrounds: New Site for The Taste New England's Oldest Food & Wine Fest Announces 2012 Dates and New Location
A Taste of The Litchfield Hills, New England's oldest food and wine festival, will be held August 25-26, 2012, at Harwinton Fairgrounds - a new location for the 27-year old festival.
"Harwinton Fairgrounds is easily-accessible from Routes 4 & 8, plus offers plenty of parking, modern handicapped accessible restrooms and covered pavilions for outdoor dining," said event manager Clinton Billups.
In prior years, the festival was held at various Litchfield County locations including a winery, ski area and road racing venue.
"The Harwinton Fairgrounds also will provide the festival with more space for additional attractions, entertainment and exhibits," said Billups.
Since 1985, A Taste of The Litchfield Hills has annually attracted thousands of foodies for a sampling of the region's food and wine, plus upscale shopping and live entertainment.
Chefs from regional restaurants, bistros and other purveyors of fine food will prepare and serve grazing-sized portions of house specialties. Wine will be served by the glass, plus draught beer and a variety of soft drinks also will be available.
Guests also will enjoy live entertainment, plus upscale shopping in an outdoor bazaar featuring artisan crafted treasures and unique gifts.
Advance admission tickets, exhibitor information and more information is available at www.LitchfieldFestivals.com.
