How cute is this! Chadwick the Crab announces his upcoming wedding to his longtime girlfriend crab Esmerelda. We have read over the last two books in the series of his major crush on the prettiest little crab in Chesapeake. “Chadwick’s Wedding” is a marvelous story about the challenges of planning a wedding and planning a life together. Chadwick has the same concerns as any human getting married. Should he stay in the aquarium and raise his children in an action packed place with lots of culture and activity or move back to the Bay where his baby crabs will have room to grow and play? Enjoy Chadwick and his friends leading up to the big day!
Chadwick the Crab is getting married! But where, the aquarium or the Shady Creek Sandbar? And where would be the best place to live and raise a family? These are all questions, plus many more Chadwick ponders in this delightful book. I can't wait for the next school year to start so I can introduce my students to Chadwick and ask them all these questions. Not only is Chadwick's Wedding a delightful story to listen to, but it will also help get good discussions going. As an elementary teacher, I love when I can find books like this. I highly recommend it!
Chadwick’s Wedding is just so CUTE! Who ever knew that crabs could get married? This story teaches children about the beauty of the environment. It also teaches them about wild life. This book makes learning fun! The illustrations are breathtaking and simply beautiful. The wedding brings back old friends that we have previously seen in other Chadwick books. It is a must have for every child's library.
I have to admit that after reading the first two "Chadwick" books, I was very much looking forward to "Chadwick's Wedding". Somehow this little crab has worked his way into my heart! Priscilla Cummings once again has crafted a fantastic book. Chadwick is to marry his love, Esmerelda. There is only one problem, Esmerelda goes missing! Chadwick had been having second thoughts about his upcoming nuptials, but now with Esmerelda missing, he realizes just how much he loves her. Will they find the missing bride-to-be and have their fairy tale ending? I won't spoil it for you, get the book and read for yourself, you will love it! As with the other Chadwick books, this story focuses on important values and morals and is not only fun, but is educational. I highly recommend this book!

Wedding shells are ringing! Chadwick the Crab is getting married, and everyone is preparing for the big event! Esmerelda is choosing her bridesmaids. Baron von Heron is writing the ceremony (in rhyme, of course). Toulouse, the gourmet goose, is baking a corn and eelgrass cake. Then Chadwick begins to have second thoughts about marriage, and as if that weren't bad enough, Esmerelda disappears! Suddenly, the wedding is off and the search is on. Only then does Chadwick realize how much he loves the prettiest girl crab in all of Shady Creek. Preschool to grade 2
