Looking for a new party venue? Well, author David Martin found it with “Let’s have a Tree Party”. I am always looking for a book that is not only fun but has some educational value as well. This story mixes great rhymes with bright and vibrant illustrations. With Grandpa Crow ready to the throw a super shindig all up in a tree, inviting all the creatures from the neighborhood. They count their way through the guests. They talk about most kids two favorite foods: Ice-cream and Pizza. And best of all, they play peek a boo. So, as Grandpa Crow says, let’s hit the lights and keep this amazing party going!

Any time I can find a book that I think my students will love, I have to get it. Let's Have a Tree Party is one of those books. This is a wonderful book to help teach rhyming. I love that it is the type of rhyming that students can clap along to. Not only does it help with rhyming, this book is also good to help teach about diurnal and nocturnal animals and habitats. I can think of many different activities that my students will love in connection with this book. Plus, I think I may plan our own classroom soiree after we are done! I can't wait to tell my teacher friends about this book!

Let’s Have a Tree Party is so much fun! This is a non stop fun read. I love the rhythm that is in the book. Read and dance while getting into the story. The illustrations also make you want to be inside the book. How much fun can one book be? The interactions between the animals are so cute. It makes you want to reread the book over and over and OVER!

David Martin's "Let's Have a Tree Party" will have you and your child tapping your toes and bopping along to his rollicking, rhythmic read! Join the forest creatures as they sing, dance and party...in a tree! John Manders' illustrations are bold and colorful and compliment the story perfectly. My almost five year old loved everything about this book. With counting and wonderful movement words, this is a book you and your little one will be sure to enjoy. The forest animals come to life, playing instruments, singing, dancing and having a wonderful time with their friends! We read this book three times in a row before my son would let me move on to another story. I highly recommend this book!
