Still Can't Wake Up This Monday? Mysore Mystic by Josuma Coffee Company Is Just What You Need to Brighten Your Rainy Manhattan Day!
Mysore Mystic Premium Shade Grown Coffee from India is fabulous. As with all coffees from Josuma Coffee Company, these beans are roasted only after an order is received and are shipped within 24 hours of roasting. Mysore Mystic is unique in that it is triple roasted resulting in a "blend" coffee. In the coffee industry this is known as "melange". Because of this unique roasting style, Mysore Mystic is bright in the cup which is unusual for an Indian Coffee. Mysore Mystic tastes best when brewed at full strength, using two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water. This coffee is sweet, but savory. With overtones of cinnamon and cardamom, Mystic Mysore seems to be the perfect Autumnal coffee. I plan on enjoying this coffee on my front porch on a chilly morning this Fall. I think you should brew some up and join me!
Not really sure if I have ever had a blend of coffee that is modeled after the growing region of India. As all Indian Food has incredible flavor due to all of the intense spices used, I knew this coffee would be different. And it was different in a great way. The aroma was even stronger than most blends I have tried. It felt as if it was infused with many spices giving it quite the kick. The Masore Mystic produced by Josuma has specific directions for brewing in order to get the best cup of coffee possible. It has already been triple roasted to really release the body of the bean. So make sure you brew at full strength with two table spoons to 6 oz of water.
When I ground this coffee, I immediately knew I would love it. The crisp aroma filled my kitchen quickly. Not only could I smell cinnamon, I found it's finish to be cinnamon as well. As I was drinking, I was able to taste a hint of a mocha like flavored coffee. Mocha's are one of my favorite specialty drinks. I normally drink medium bodied coffees, and this one was perfect. Because the roast date was so recent, I could taste the freshness of the coffee. I don't remember the last time I had coffee so fresh. I know of several people who would love this coffee just as much as I do. I know I will be purchasing more when I run out!

TRAVEL TO THE EXOTIC SUB-CONTINENT WITH MYSORE MYSTIC® SHADE-GROWN COFFEE
Did you know that India grows coffee? Most people associate India with tea. Few realize, though, that coffee was first introduced in India in the 1600's, and that India has grown coffee commercially since the 1840's. Today, India is the sixth-largest producer of coffee- larger than many better-known growing countries, including Costa Rica and Kenya.
Want to taste a coffee that is emblematic of what India produces? Try Mysore Mystic®.
Grown in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka state, where coffee brought from Yemen was first planted, these shade-grown beans produce a balanced cup of coffee when brewed. Because spices are inter-grown with coffee in India, these beans display a spiciness in the cup that is uniquely Indian. Hints of pepper, cinnamon, and cardamom- flavors typically associated with Indian food- accompany the primary notes of chocolate.
Josuma Coffee's Mysore Mystic® is also unique for its "melange" roast- one bean, but three different roast profiles. “When roasted light, the medium acidity is preserved, but the body is not enhanced. If roasted darker, the acidity is somewhat muted, and the body is improved,” according to Dr. Joseph John, President of Josuma Coffee Company of Menlo Park, CA. “Neither roasting style is ideal for this coffee because of its medium acidity,” added Dr. John. The combination of light, medium, and dark roasts provides bold flavor without sacrificing body or acidity.
Drink Mysore Mystic®, and you'll be transported to India.
