I hate letting my 19 month old watch a lot of TV. However sometimes you just have to plug them in and take a break. I am so choosy in what I allow him to watch. One of our favorites is Spot the Dog! BBC Home Entertainment has a great DVD “Storytime with Spot”. Eric Hill, the author, created such a sweet and evergreen character. This great DVD has six stories and two bonus stories that both you and your children will enjoy. With great lessons to be learned and experiences to have, you will watch this DVD over and over again. So fall in love with Spot and feel comfortable inviting him into your homes through your TV!
I have always been a fan of Eric Hill's Spot. Having 2 dogs myself, I always tell stories about them to my students and many of the stories we read have to do with dogs. When I got the newest Spot DVD from BBC Home Entertainment, Storytime with Spot, I was thrilled. Being a reading teacher at heart, I have a special place in my heart for books (I don't own any type of e-reader). Before watching this DVD with my students, I did read them a few Spot books first. After watching, I loved how Spot came up with a game to help him decide what book he wanted Sally to read to him. Not only did we have Storytime with Spot, we got to see a few other adventures with Spot. Not only were these stories fun to watch and listen to, it got my students wanting to tell their stories that were similar to Spot's. I love when something like this can spark a love of learning in many different area's of learning. If you have any young children at home, I highly recommend this DVD!
BBC Home Entertainment is brilliant for making Spot the Dog video. I loved Spot growing up as a child and now my baby girl can enjoy Spot too. The story and animation are so cute. My daughter just squeals at the video. It really is so engaging. I love Spot and his story time DVD. I think it's a great way for a child to spend their time. I personally feel that this is a wonderful educational way to have your child learn. They will fall in love with reading and Spot! This DVD will entertain your children for hours.
My five year old son has been enjoying the adventures of Spot the Dog ever since he was an infant. We started with the adorable little chunky cardboard baby books which we read to him constantly. Then we moved up to the "bigger kid" books and continued to enjoy the adventures of Spot together. Now he reads the "Early Reader" Spot books on his own (with some assistance, of course). Eric Hill's Spot books are certainly favorites in our home! Little did we know that BBC Home Entertainment puts out Spot DVDs! My son was quite excited to watch "Storytime with Spot". This wonderful DVD contains six stories plus two bonus episodes. My son's favorites were "Spot Follows His Nose" and "Spot Cleans Up". The Eric Hill books are so enjoyable and this DVD by BBC Home Entertainment is a wonderful addition to our Spot collection!

Spot, the star of Eric Hill’s beloved children’s books, is back on DVD with a whole new set of adventures. In the title episode, it is story time and Sally has promised to read a book to Spot. But with so many books to choose from, how can Spot ever decide? Wouldn’t it be more fun to play hide and seek among the books? Playing with books certainly is fun, but having them read is even better. Enjoy Storytime with Spot and five stories plus two bonus stories in this wonderful new Spot collection. With the voice of Ryan O’Donahue (Toy Story, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride) as Spot in the main programs and Hayley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) in the bonus episodes “Spot’s Hobby Horse” and “Spot Cleans Up.”
