This is the 3rd book I've read by Ms. Graham, and can't get enough. I have enjoyed all of them. This was a perfect Labor Day weekend read. I found that once I got started reading, I couldn't put it down. I found myself so enthralled and wanted to know whether or not the Galveston Diamond legend was possible, that I looked it up. Ms. Graham writes in such a way that as you are reading, you find yourself wondering whether some of the story lines are actually true. I was glad to see the leader of the Krewe of Hunters, Jackson Crow, was back. Since his team had been stretched to the limit, he had to put together a new team for this adventure. I liked the introduction of new characters. It gave the book a new feel. I am excited to see where this series goes. I would like to see some of the old characters return, but would like to see how they interact with this new set of characters. I can't wait for the next Krewe of Hunters book from Ms. Graham to be released.

Nothing is better than a good ghost story especially when those ghosts interact with today's world. That is until innocent young women begin to turn up dead. Set in San Antonio, Texas, Heather Graham's newest novel, The Unseen, leads us on a goose bump filled adventure. As we learn the gruesome facts surrounding a young woman's bloody murder, and what appears as a stranger connection to a historic Saloon, we begin to think this murderer may be from a different realm. In 1835 a young innocent woman was murdered in the same Saloon room over a mysterious and possibly cursed diamond ring, could this somehow be related to the bodies being found today? We are introduced to Logan Raintree, Texas Ranger, and his new partner Kelsey O'Brian, a US Marshall. Little does Raintree know that O'Brian's ability to see that past will be needed to solve the case before another life is lost. As O'Brian tries to use her talent, she learns much more than she bargained for about the past and the future. When the tables get turned heroes become victims and no one is safe. Filled with chilling surprises and turns, your whole theory will be blown out of the water as Graham's story unfolds. We promise you won't be disappointed in The Unseen, Heather Graham's newest and best novel yet.

If you're looking for chills and thrills with a splash of the supernatural thrown in, Heather Graham is your woman. She is a master of the mystery genre, and The Unseen is a must-read for any fan of hers or lover of all things creepy! The novel takes place in San Antonio, Texas, where in the 1800s, a young beauty, Rose Langley, was murdered at an inn in the vicinity of the Alamo. Her killer was never found. Fast forward to the present, where another beautiful young woman, Sierra Monte, has recently disappeared from the very same room in which Rose Langley was killed. Although no body has been found, the amount of blood in the room following Sierra's disappearance has led investigators to believe there is no way she could be alive. Deepening the mystery is the fact that a number of other young women's bodies have been found in the area. Texas Ranger Logan Raintree is approached by the FBI to lead a newly created special team of investigators (all of whom have the ability to see and communicate with the dead) to take the lead in the investigation and discover why these young ladies are being brutally murdered, who is behind it all, and what it could possibly have to do with the murder of Rose Langley. U.S. Marshal Kelsey O'Brien has also been assigned to the team, and together, she and Raintree follow their instincts (as well as some supernatural signs) to try to find the killer before more young women meet a terrible fate. The twists and turns in the plot keep the novel moving along at a gallop, and you won't want to put the book down until you've reached the end. Another exciting and engaging read from one of the best mystery writers today!

I spent a good portion of the summer at the beach where I had plenty of reading time. I read my first Heather Graham book a few weeks ago and since then I've been hooked! The latest book in her series, called "The Unseen" has been my latest read! It caught my attention from the very beginning and held it tight until the conclusion of the book. This story revolves around a local legend in San Antonio, TX. The story is a roller coaster ride, just like Graham's other novels! The book follows the team as they attempt to capture the murderer before more bodies are found. This book is written so vividly and makes great historical references which I love! I highly recommend this book to those who like romantic suspense mixed in with paranormal activity! This book was truly enjoyable and a wonderful way to end the summer!

A Texas Ranger and a U.S. marshal with paranormal abilities are recruited to head up a team of investigators in THE UNSEEN (Mira Books, April 2012, $24.95 U.S./$27.95 CAN.), the riveting new white-knuckle suspense novel from the maven of the macabre, New York Times bestselling author Heather Graham.

When the remains of eight women are uncovered in San Antonio, Texas, Jackson Crow, leader of the Krewe of Hunters—the FBI’s covert team of paranormal investigators—is called in. With his team busy in the field, Crow begins to assemble another band of agents with the kind of special abilities it takes to piece together the elements of a mystery like this in the hopes of catching a serial killer.

His choice to head up the new team is Texas Ranger Logan Raintree. Raintree has no desire to leave the Rangers, but is intrigued by the FBI agent’s offer of unrestricted access and limitless resources. U.S. marshal Kelsey O’Brien is Crow’s other recruit. Like Raintree, O’Brien is satisfied with her branch of law enforcement but is curious about Crow’s proposal and the case.

But the Texas Ranger and U.S. marshal have another rarer connection—they are able to commune with the dead. Logan Raintree is able to speak to spirits. When he touches the arm of the killer’s most recent victim he sees her as she was in life and she recounts her final, painful moments. Kelsey O’Brien is also sensitive to apparitions—and has receives visions of the past when standing in the locations where the powerful psychic events took place.

As Raintree and O’Brien delve into the case they become convinced that these killings are connected to two notorious murders that took place in room #207 at the Longhorn Inn. The first, which O’Brien relives, occurred in 1835 when a young woman was strangled by her captor when she refused to reveal the whereabouts of the priceless Galveston diamond. The second occurred only a year ago when the same room was awash in the blood of a young woman staying there. Mysteriously, however, the body was missing. O’Brien and Raintree are convinced not only that the Longhorn Inn murders are connected to the eight recently uncovered cadavers, but that the Galveston diamond is central to this mystery.

But they must move quickly. Another young woman is missing and may already be dead, and only Kelsey and Logan have the abilities necessary to connect past and present to capture a determined killer before more innocent women join the company of San Antonio’s restless ghosts.
