Everybody loves it. There have been songs and poems written about it, artwork created about it, fights over it, and lives changed because of it. Yes, that one simple gesture - the kiss. And now, there is a book about it. From Insight Editions comes The Kiss: A Celebration. And indeed, it is. Divided into three major sections (Movie Kisses, Everyday Kisses, and Art Kisses, this book includes photographs of all kinds of different kisses, accompanied by quotes and stories. Each kiss receives its own title, and it's amazing to see just how many kinds of kisses there are! The images are wonderfully evocative, and the kiss titles are amusing and creative, ranging from "The Innocent Kiss" to "The Avant-Garde Kiss" to "The Acquiescent Kiss!" A delightful book from start to finish, and a great treat for anyone who has ever enjoyed the magic of a kiss.

The perfect kiss is one of life's most beautiful moments. It sparks feelings and emotions like no other act. It can send you to the moon and back again! Even when it's over, just the thought can leave a smile on your face for days. Insight Editions has documented some of the most memorable kisses in popular culture and compiled them into a book, The Kiss: A Celebration. This cute and pink, hardcover book is full of photos of the best kisses from movies, art, and everyday life. As you flip through this book your heart will melt a bit. Chances are, it will bring you back to your favorite kiss. This book is perfect for the coffee table. Whenever you need a kiss, just pick it up, and you have the next best thing!

What a cool idea for a book! This book takes all of the iconic kisses we know from movies, and then some from art and other media forms. This book breaks down each kind of kiss and explains each one. I was happy to see the kiss from The Notebook, Gone With The Wind, and Casablanca. I even have a still hanging on my wall of the same image from Casablanca hanging in my living room. I loved how various artists' work was included as well. I was able to see some abstracts and paintings that I would have never seen otherwise. This would be a good book to put out on the coffee table as a conversation starter. I know I will be putting it out the next time I have friends over. I can't wait to see where the conversation goes!

In the movies, when the good (or the bad) guy takes the little girl (or boy) in his arms, and the camera comes in for a close-up, we know what's going to happen. With our blood pressure rising, our hearts palpitating, and our breath held in a transforming moment, we watch as their lips come together, and we are vindicated. The Kiss has transpired. Oh, the sweet release of that artistic moment. Now for all those elusive moments and their fans, Insight Editions has compiled a little book entitled aptly: The Kiss: a Celebration. Herein are the iconic, the famous, the artsy. Scenes from movies, photographs we will all recognize, and art is referenced and classified into endearing chapters. Movie kisses, Everyday Kisses, and Art Kisses form the basis of an overview that will delight lovers everywhere. It's a dear little volume of tender moments, and sweet sentiment that would be welcome in any library. Leave it on your coffee table to put your dinner guests at ease. Give it as a gift to the in-loves in your life.

A kiss is never just a kiss. Sometimes it signals triumph; other times, anguish. But even when kissing is merely a polite gesture, there's a certain inherent intimacy. The Kiss celebrates this meaningful act in its most iconic forms: Warhol's provocative lip lock, Picasso's Cubist caress, the climactic rainstorm embrace in Breakfast at Tiffany's, and, of course, the heart-wrenching farewell between Bogart and Bergman in Casablanca. Culled from history, cinema, and popular media, this collection evokes passion, romance, intrigue, and desire, making it the perfect celebration for anyone who's ever been in love ... or simply in lust!
