Lenovo's Android Tablets: IdeaTab A2109-Unanimously Loved by the Gotham Gadgets Panel!

Our Gotham Gadgets Senior Panelist reports:
So I admit it - I have always been an Apple girl from my first computer at age 7 to the present. When the Lenovo tablet arrived I was wondering would I know how to use it? Was it an obvious transition? What was I to do?? First off, I decided to drop all preconceived ideas and run with it. Let's say I am very happy I did. On inspection I loved the size! It fits perfectly in your hands and is very light weight with a great screen to tablet ratio. I plugged it in and off I went. It took me about 15/20 minutes to be setup with my gmail, a media account and to learn my way around the tablet. It was organized very well. I was on my way to a business trip in Los Angeles so it seemed the right time to dive head first! I loaded the tablet with my email and all the possible media I could need for 10 plus hours of flying round trip. The battery was good from the beginning. On the media front I decided to download "Jiro Dreams of Sushi." I was happy with the resolution and sound coupled with the ease of download once I had setup my playstore account. It was a great film and looked lovely. So what next? I have been know to play a tablet game or two from time to time. I went with something called "Sushi Chop". It looked easy and fun and instantly I was hooked. Perhaps not the greatest use of my time, but I felt it was important to get the whole tablet experience so I needed games too! The tablet responded well. The touch screen is quite fast responding. Now it was on to the important aspects - email and web browsing. What I appreciated about the mobile experience was the speed using Chrome and having access to flash products. It was no different than my computer at home. The gmail access was fabulous! Interestingly enough I find the android powered device experience with gmail preferable to the web based version. There is a lot of talk about typing and the difficulties one may experience with tablet styled devices, I never felt as if it was an issue to even consider with the Lenovo. Nicely the tablet already comes loaded with some epic features. Some of my favorites included the navigation app. Powered with google maps one has the ability to type or say their destination and get directions delivered right to the tablet. I also really enjoyed the docs to go app. Docs to go gives you the possibility to edit Microsoft and Adobe will right on your device. This was huge for me and it comes as a standard delivery. Lastly Every Note was awesome. It is a one stop app for creating lists. I was really into the talk to text function of it. It was a quick way for me to take notes on the go. I am a constant list maker, and this app was made for me. So all in all I was really impressed with this tablet. There are a lot of gadget options out there, but I highly recommend a Lenovo whether you are new to the tablet market or an experienced tech guru.
