Northeast Companies Display Cutting-Edge Technologies at the 2013 International CES

More than 300 Northeast Technology Companies to Exhibit at World’s Largest Innovation Event

More than 300 technology companies based in the Northeast region of the United States (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont) will unveil their latest cutting-edge technologies at the 2013 International CES®. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the 2013 CES, the world’s largest annual innovation event, will feature 3,000 exhibitors across more than 1.85 million net square feet of exhibit space. The 2013 International CES will run Tuesday, January 8-Friday, January 11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“It’s rewarding, and a testament to our incredible engineers, that Brother is able, year after year, to astound show-goers at the world’s most important technology event with the features we have built into our top-of-the-line, home-based sewing and embroidery machines,” said Dean Shulman, Senior Vice President of Brother International Corporation, based in Bridgewater, NJ. “CES is an important event for us to show the world, beyond our passionate, niche market, that sewing is not grandma’s hobby anymore. It’s for tech-lovers, fashionistas, budding entrepreneurs and more. This year, we’re debuting our new V-Series line, which features six industry firsts, including a laser guide, ultrasonic sensing technology, a direct-motor driven foot and more.”

The 2013 CES will feature more than 20 market-specific TechZones. Returning hot spots at the 2013 CES include Eureka Park, with more than 140 entrepreneurs, startups and small companies, an increase of forty percent over the 2012 Eureka Park, as well as the iLounge Pavilion, featuring more than 440 exhibitors spanning 120,000 net square feet of i-related products, located in the LVCC, North Hall and the LVH.

The 2013 CES conference program will feature 300 robust sessions and 800 speakers, including keynotes from the leaders of Qualcomm, Panasonic, Samsung and Verizon. Additionally, the Entertainment Matters program, sponsored by Variety and AOL, is back for its third year with exhibits, conference programs and special events for professionals in the entertainment community and will feature actress Felicia Day as the program’s Ambassador.
